as part of the exhibition Ligote-Relief, Tenement House of the Arts Associa-tion \u201cOpen Studio\u201d in Lublin, Poland, 2021<\/h6>


The artist recreates the room of the main guardroom of the bank, using aban-doned equipment, disconnected and incomplete control systems and artifacts found in the rooms of the bank\u2019s abandoned headquarters. He explores the space, works with it, by trial and error resurrects subsequent devices, revives cameras and alarms, resuscitates the server room, restores monitoring, uses disused infrastructure to reconnect the former bank\u2019s premises with the control network. <\/p>

The whole composition consists of surveillance devices, documents, technical drawings, sound recordings, computers and electronics found in the spaces. The main role in the whole installation is played by light. <\/p>

The surveillance screens display views of the rooms where the exhibition takes place. Transmissions and their technological delays, the tension between the observed area and the point of observation become crucial. The view from one camera not coincidentally shows the vault. It is the place most associated with the guardhouse, and at the same time the most remote, isolated, and tightly controlled. The guardhouse is the only place where observation of the locked vault is natural. Meanwhile, in the guardhouse, which is lacking an employee, the view may go unnoticed. <\/p>

On the wall near the entrance are three photographs documenting performances from inside the vault. A screen at the other end of the guardroom displays a looping recording of an event recorded by a monitoring system - like a break-in to the crucial room of a bank, to which no one reacts.<\/p><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
